Something inside of him attracted him here, although he didn't understand. This evening, something strange was beaming all around. For a few weeks the town had changed. It seemed that the stars of the sky had fallen upon the trees and the houses. All around was lighted up. But during this strange evening, something else was in the air, in particular around the church. Suddenly, a few then more and more people came to the path which led to the church. And they enter into the church one after one. Some goodness and warmly benevolence was radiating all around and inside the church. So the dog decided to follow these persons into the church. But what a surprise ! He was thrown away with bad words and with feet ... He didn't understand. How could be such spitefulness for him while so much goodness was beaming all around ? He hid under a fir near the church, full of sadness and thinking that such goodness was given only to human beings, and he was only a little dog ... The tree was illuminated too, and that comforted him. He was beginning to doze. But a warm voice which came from nowhere woke him : "- Little dog, what makes such sadness in your heart ? - You know, I am only a dog, and so all this happiness all around can't be for me ... - Don't worry, little friend, I will tell you. All of this is called Christmas, and that means warm and goodness, peace and love, happiness and joy. But Christmas is for all. Listen to what they say inside the church. They speak of Christmas story. Christmas story described the Savior's birth. He is a human baby. But hear what they say. This little baby was born in a cave among nature, not in a town, not among other human beings. He was born between two persons and a few animals. The story say that the Christmas Star was just above the cave, and it led some other people to come and see the Savior. Don't you know how many people celebrate Christmas with a tree inside their house, a tree that they illuminate with a lot of little stars like those in the sky ? Don't you understand, little friend, that Christmas is not a human story, but a story of the Universe ? Christmas story gather together the mankind, the animal kingdom, the vegetable kingdom, the mineral kingdom and the Cosmos. How could human beings keep Christmas only for themselves ? Christmas is for all, Christmas is for any ... body, not anybody, not any human body, but for any ... body of the Universe. So don't worry any more, little friend, if human beings don't understand and throw you away.
