		Anyone called her the Harridan, no doubt she was so. From the whole country, people came to her to relieve their troubles. Some came to solve problems with their children or their spouse. Some came to cure any kind of wound, disease, etc. They also brought their animals to be healed. They trusted her to help them, to solve a lot of problems, and they were very grateful to her. As a reward, the harridan received a lot of things which made her every day life become very easy, she always had all that she needed. For in reality people feared her. She was capable of the best as well as the worst. Had you been in high favour with her, and she could have given you all the treasures of the Heaven ; had you given her a reason she had borne a grudge against you, then you could have expected the wrath of Hell ; it was you who had to choose ... And all those who had attempt to offend her had quickly changed their minds ... ! But the modern times came ; no more horses are led to the harridan to be cured, tractors have replaced them ; no more cows, goats or chickens can be taken to the harridan, they are bred inside close buildings ; doctors or vets heal human beings and animals ; any kind of gurus propose their help to make life easier and easier and solve problems. There's no more place for the harridans. Moreover, who still believe in harridans ? But what happened to the Harridan ? Who will ever know ? 29/08/11 Isabelle Coquinot
