		I like to listen to every conversation I can detect in the neighbourhood, I often hear about a lot of things that don't exist in my own home. A few days ago, some children were having a big confab. They were talking about Santa Claus. I never heard about him before, so I was all ears. They said that Santa Claus was like a human being, living in the sky, and only during the Christmas night he was coming down to earth, to bring a lot of presents for every child. And when children wake up the following morning, they find their gifts under the Christmas tree. So I decided to mount guard near the Christmas tree of our home, not only during the whole Christmas night, but also a few nights before : maybe he could come before Christmas, who knows ? How could he give presents to all the children of the earth during only one night ? Perhaps he would come before, or after Christmas. I was so impatient to know what he would have brought to me, that I wished he would come before and not after Christmas. But he didn't come before the Christmas night. I waited the whole Christmas night, unfortunately he didn't come too. I thought that maybe the human children had priority over the gentle dogs like me, and so he would probably come after Christmas. I waited a few nights after Christmas too. But Santa Claus didn't come. I was really contrite. I had heard the children say that they must be angels with their parents to make Santa Claus bring them presents, and I wondered whether I didn't deserve a gift ... Then I thought that perhaps it was a tale, Santa Claus wouldn't exist. I tried to hear other conversations from the children of the neighbourhood, all were talking about the toys and the presents they had found under the Christmas tree ... Why no present was lying under OUR Christmas tree ? I called some fairies of my acquaintances, and I asked them to explain me what happened. Why Santa Claus didn't come ? They told me that he is meant to bring presents only to human children, not to dogs, even gentle dogs. There's no human children in our home, so I was wrong to expect him to come ... What a pity ! I was so sad that the fairies told me about the New Year greetings. They said that I had to choose three wishes I would make the first day of the New Year. I thought immediately of a lot of goodies, how could I choose only three of them ... But they told me I would be more clever to choose wishes that brings me something that last long, goodies disappear for ever as soon as I've eaten. Things were more complicated ! But I got a few days to think about the three wishes. In the morning of the first day of the New Year, a gentle voice woke me suddenly : " - Gidan, what is your first wish ?" I opened quickly my eyes and saw the three fairies around me. Luckily, I had thought a lot, and I could express my first wish to the first fairy - and my second wish to the second fairy, and my third wish to the third fairy. Now I'm waiting, will my wishes be fulfilled ? Santa Claus isn't for dogs, fortunately we have fairies with us to spoil us !
