possibly on Saturday or on Monday. During the night between Wednesday 27/02/08 and Thursday 28/02/08, I heard her several time and I
wondered if she began to feel unkind because of her pregnancy. During the whole Thursday, she didn't eat and she vomited twice. I
wondered if the delivering could happen this day or the following one, but she was perfectly still, not nervous at all. I did my things, letting
her alone in her playpen. But when, circa 5 p.m., she came back from the garden, she was losing a lot of water as she was walking in the
room. So I put her in the playpen, closed the door so no dog could disturb her, and I prepared quickly the last things.
The first pup arrived at about 5.17 p.m., I noticed immediately that she was abnormally tiny, I weighed her (only 145 g), named her and took
photos, then I put her near her mother. Douxanne was always crying while moving her head, but she didn't search to reach her mother. I
tried several times to open her mouth on a boob, but she moved always her head away while crying, she never succeeded to suck. Then
she began not to move any more, while she was still crying a little, and I had to admit that she wasn't meant to live. She was already dying
when the second pup arrived.
The second bitch was born about 1.15 later, and then the 8 pups arrived inside a short time, less than 3 hours, without any problem.
I first thought that I would get a litter of only bitches, when, after the 5th bitch, I was thinking that the delivering was finished. But then 4
males arrived - chivalrous males ! They let the girls first ! I was really astonished to notice that all the pups were born with short tails, at
least after the 6th pup (I was still thinking that it was finished !), although I can't know how Fango's tail was at birth, with Snasha his whole
offspring had long tail. When - at last ! - the delivering was really over, I could evaluate the situation - long (and complete) tails : about 1/4.

(Dolmenih's eyes were already 1/2 open too) ; Dholonna, Dirryana and Dolmenih had open eyes in the following morning when I weighed
them, while in the afternoon I noticed that Deirwenn had opened her eyes too ; Deyvrik got opened eyes on 15/03/08 and the last one,
Dorricq showed open eyes on 16/0308 in the morning.The pups left their basket when they were able to see, and I took it away (16/03/08).
them on the carpet, for the first time they moved all around in the room and when I put them again in their playpen, they seemed to feel like
going out ! On 19/03/08, I tried to give milk, it seemed too early.
The pups began to walk with their legs - and with difficulty ! - and also to sit. They played with each other too.
The pups were often trying to eat the dry food for their mother, on 21/03/08 I saw one of them doing it during a long time, and it really
seemed that he swallowed some pieces of dry food.
On 22/03/08, I put some toys in the playpen, they didn't seem to be interested. They often played with each other, they walked nearly well,
and they often wanted to leave the playpen to wander about.
On 23/03/08, for the first time, the pups really ate milk - they were still always "inside" the bowl of dry food for their mother, and they
swallowed some pieces. They drink too into the bowl of water for Bocquefeuille, and often put their legs inside, they seemed to like being
into water. In the evening, I was surprised : they suddenly woke up when I spoke to them ! So they were able to hear. Dorricq went around

well, they seemed to recognize the plates ! On 26/03/08, in the morning, I had Drezbor in my hands when I went in the kitchen,
Bocquefeuille went with me, and then I came back to the dining room, where the playpen was ; a few minutes later, Drezbor went into the
kitchen, alone, the other dogs and me were still in the dining room, I went into the kitchen too, Bocquefeuille followed me once again, but
Dorricq too ; we were in he middle of the room, so the pups couldn't see us from the dining room, so I was surprised that another pup
came to us, Delkael. At noon, I took off the "door" of the playpen and some pups went out to eat in the plates, while some other were still
sleeping ; when the plates were nearly empty, I let Bocquefeuille and the males come back from the garden - Bocquefeuille have always
accepted very well the other dogs near the pups, but only the males, not the bitches. None of the pups went into the kitchen where I was
working and where their mother and some of the males were too.
kitchen , because I had already noticed that they went out of their playpen when I used this little ball, they seemed to have associated this
noise with food. And with the bell, all the pups found the plates. While they were eating, I tried to clean under the playpen without any pup ! I
put the "door" of the playpen in the doorway between the kitchen and the dining room, but the pups could go between it and the wall :
Dorricq, Dolmenih and then Delkael did first, then all the pups did too.
At noon, I put their plates into the kitchen once again, the pups came there easily, then, while they were eating, I put a plank and a little
tunnel so they had to go through the tunnel to come back to the dining room - and to me. They seemed not to know what to do, so I used the
little ball with a small bell in front of the tunnel, from the dining room, and they found the right way, that is to say going through the tunnel.
(The tunnel was 25 cm in diameter and 54 cm long)
the pups go outside : they walked outside on a very short distance, and not all the pups ! Their mother and I were outside, but they didn't
really dare come, and they had still a lot of things to do in the dining room or the kitchen ! After that, I put their plates in the kitchen and then I
put the tunnel like the previous day, but the opening was no more in the same plan than the wall (in the kitchen), but about 10 cm inside the
kitchen : all the pups went through as if they had always done that ! The tunnel seemed to be quite a "normal thing" for them. I repeated the
same (garden and tunnel) at noon, with the same result : no problem with the tunnel, no success to go in the garden ! At the end of the
afternoon, I gave them food while Gidan was still at home : I was really astonished that he let the pups eat and didn't try at all to eat in their
plates, at least while the pups were eating, when some of them let their plates, I had to ask Gidan not to eat, until they had completely
finished to eat - and then Gidan has been allowed to "clean" the plates ! Like every day, I made them go out of their playpen in the evening,
they played in the room. On 30/03/08, in the morning, the garden was wet enough, and I opened the door and let the pups follow their
mother, they stayed in the doorway. At noon, I put again the tunnel between the dining room and the kitchen, but this time half of the tunnel
was in the kitchen : Dirryana searched to reach the dining room from the corner made by the tunnel and the plank, then she found the right
way; all the other pups went through the tunnel "naturally".
of the afternoon, I opened the door too, and when they were all outside, I put their plates in the garden. In the evening, I made them go out
too, they generally had pee and droppings outside. The following morning, I opened the door and they all followed Bocquefeuille outside,
and they had all pee and droppings outside - except one, who did a few cm before arriving in the garden ! I gave the plates outside each
time. They began to like to be in the garden ...

staying with them in the other cases. They liked to be outside and began to go further and further, but when they felt tired, they searched to
come back to the dining room. In the end of the afternoon, I put a cardboard box as a tunnel, they had to go through it to come back from the
garden and the dining room : some pups came directly, without any hesitation, some others showed some hesitation but found quickly the
right way. (the cardboard box was 13 cm x 22 cm). I put the cardboard again in the evening, first between the garden and the dining room,
then, when all the pups were home, between the dining room and the kitchen ; Dorricq went into the kitchen through the cardboard box, the
others stayed in the dining room, playing with every thing.
weather was so fine ! The pups and I stayed a long time outside. In the end of the afternoon, I put some packs of bottles to make a corner,
but in the usual direction, so there was no problem. I did the same in the evening. On 04/04/05, at noon and in the end of the afternoon, I

showed some hesitation, even the second time, some others didn't.. On 05/04/08, at noon I tried to put another obstacle after the last pack
of bottles, but they simply pushed it ! So, in the end of the afternoon and in the evening, I stayed there to hold the kind of fence to make
them turn left, some pups tried to go to me through the "fence", but they couldn't, so they finally turned left, and then found the right way.
the dining room. They had to go through a long and narrow cardboard "tunnel" (161 cm long, opening : 13 cm x 13 cm) ; Deyvrik understood
quickly what he had to do, but none of his siblings did ; one of them succeeded to go aside, although I was holding something to prevent
them to avoid the cardboard box, I improved this and the following pups didn't succeed to go aside, but they didn't succeed too to find the
right way, I had to put them one by one in the beginning of the box, then they went through without problems. In the end of the afternoon, I
put again the long tunnel : they went through one by one, in this order : Deyvrik, Dholonna, Dirryana, Delkael, Deirwenn, Dolmenih, Drezbor
and Dorricq, but they got time to come ! I did the same once again in the evening, they all went through the tunnel, with time too, and in this
order : Dirryana, Delkael, Drezbor, Deyvrik, Dorricq, Deirwenn, Dolmenih and Dholonna.
in the garden ... I let them outside, with their mother, to do my things, and when I went again to make them come back in the dining room, I
found them all sleeping quietly under the sun ! When the sun disappeared behind black clouds, I took them one by one to put them into
their playpen. In the end of the afternoon, I put again the long cardboard tunnel, but in the aim that they walk upon, so I put some obstacles
to avoid them to go down - but some did. Deirwenn began to come through the tunnel. Delkael succeeded to go down and walked aside.
Then Drezbor and Dorricq came, Drezbor on the cardboard box, and Dorricq aside. The other didn't come, they seemed not to know how to
do. I must say that I didn't think that the cardboard box would be shaking while a pup tried to walk on it, the first pup gave up then I hold the
end of the box and the pups could walk without strong trembling. The other pups didn't came, so I went outside and took them. I put
Dolmenih on the box, that I hold so it didn't shake too much, and Dolmenih walked on the long box till the end. Then I put Dirryana on the
box, while holding it, and she walked on it till the end too. I was surprised, Deirween was going out through the tunnel ! Then I put Dholonna
on the long box, she walked on it till the end too. And then I put Deirwenn on the box, she went down and walked left.

pups (as usually) came to the "door" of the playpen to go inside, even the pups who where still outside. In the end of the afternoon, I put the
same plank in the doorway before opening the "door" of the playpen : as they usually did, all the pups ran outside - like a "flock" ! - and it
seemed that they didn't even realized that the ground below them was "special" ! Some pups still showed hesitation to walk on the plank
when they came back from the garden. I repeat the same in the evening and the following morning (09/04/07) ; at noon, the rain had made
their legs so dirty that I preferred not to put my plank ! The wet grass had made them wet too, I had to give them a rubdown, some seemed
to like ! In the end of the afternoon and in the evening, I put again the plank, the pups didn't hesitate anymore. The weather was still very
wet, and I preferred the pups to play in the dining room than in the garden.

afternon and in the evening, and then none of the pups showed any hesitation.
