| After Snasha's death, I wanted to keep a bitch amongst my D-litter pups ; it's not easy to pick such a young pup in a breeding point of view, although some signs can be detected ; and so, emotional things played a part in my choice too. Drezbor has been the chosen one. Even before her grandmother's death, I had got some emotional attraction for her - and also for two of her brothers. When she was a small pup, I used to call her with a French word that means "she-bear cub", and she's still a sweet "teddy bear" for me. So let me write a tale for a bear cub of mine. |

| Once upon a time there was a she-bear who was just beginning to deliver three cubs. A benevolent fairy was wandering in the area, and something led her to the she-bear. She had nobody under her protection at this time, and she decided to take one of the cubs under her wing. The choice was hers. Who would ever know why she picked the little girl rather than one of the boys ? The little she-bear cub was meant to grow. She guessed quickly that she was under the protection of a queer being, she couldn't see her, she couldn't touch her, but she often felt her presence. Once, she asked her mother about this invisible presence, and the she-bear taught her children all that she knew about the fairy world. But mankind often makes life a misery for poor cubs. Once, the fairy was working far away and couldn't warn the she-bear cub and a hunter captured her. When the fairy came back, she recognized immediately the wailing of a mother who has lost her child. She noticed soon that the hunter had precisely picked the chosen one ... She promised to the she-bear that she would quickly bring back her daughter, and she began to search her. Fairy might made her discover immediately the bear cub in the forest. The little one was weeping, chained up to a tree, while a man was going to slumber. The fairy waited that he was really sleeping and called other fairies, these friends joined the man in the land of Nod and coped with him so he was enjoying so much to stay with the fairies that he didn't realized that they were keeping him from leaving the land of Nod. During this time, the fairy hurried to come back to the mother, who followed the fairy to the cub. Then she was asked to slash the leather collar into shreds, but the sleeping man really generated a kind of mental block inside the bear. Fortunately, the fairy was able to persuade her that her own fairy friends were keeping the hunter imprisoned in the land of Nod, and the she-bear succeeded to vanquish her apprehension, and she destroyed quickly the leather collar. Then the two bears came back to the mountain, but the fairy wanted to wait near the man till he left the land of Nod ; for she sent another fairy to the previous ones, those who were playing in the land of Nod, and suddenly all the fairies disappeared and the man woke up. And then the fairy could notice how much angry and vengeful the man was all day long. So she decided to intervene when he would be sleeping once again, during the following night. She asked the little she-bear cub to come with her to the land of Nod. At a moment, in the land of Nod, the hunter caught a glimpse of a fairy and a bear cub playing gracefully at the top of a mountain ; the shades of their souls were sparkling on the sky like stars in the night ; blessedness was glowing all around them. Had some fairies crept inside the hunter heart ? Revenge and anger made way for kindness and bliss, and when the hunter woke up in the morning, he marveled so much at the simple life that he couldn't kill anymore. And if you don't believe me, just take a stroll in the land of Nod and raise your eyes to the sky ; if you're lucky enough, you'll succeed to catch the sight of a fairy playing gracefully with a bear cub at the top of a mountain, with benevolence and joy focused in a magic light - let this light slip inside of you and maybe you'll understand ... |
