A   W O L F   I N   A   T O W N
Something made me think to my V-litter a few days ago. My V-litter has revealed to be such a disaster - all the pups died one after one
except two, who managed to give up the ghost together  just before their first birthday - that I seemed to have hidden it deep inside of
me. Nevertheless, some things can appeared again ...  So let me write a tale for Vila (that means : fairy), Vrlika (that is the name of a
town, in the Dinaric Alps), Vodiana (that is a French word without meaning), Vedrina (that means, among others : light, brightness, etc),
Verline (that is a French word without meaning) and the only male in the litter, Vuk (that means : wolf).
Once upon a time, there was a pretty little town somewhere  in a mountainous region. This little town was full of
brightness all day long, and people were always chirpy. It seemed that nothing wrong could ever happen in such a
sweet little town. Maybe this feeling was owed to the fairy who was meant to protect the whole little town.

Somewhere in one of the pretty little houses that constituted this lovely little town, two sisters were dreaming eternally
that some providence change their so weary life.
Both girls were pretty little ones, the eldest appeared quite taller and bigger than her younger sister. Both sported black
long and curly hair, inside of it a white star was shining night and day. But, strangely, the two white stars weren't exactly
identical, one was bigger than the other, and the youngest sister had received the biggest. For these white stars
shining in their hair were a present from the fairy.
The two sisters got too a special characteristic : their Christian name was a French word, even though they live miles
away from such a foreign land. But the fairy wanted so, and she had whispered these first names in the ear of their
mother when they were just born. Owing to their Christian names, the two little girls were considered as particular
beings in the sweet little town.

The pretty little town was surrounded with woods and wild lands, in which a lot of wild animals were living. Among
them, the wolves appeared to be the more powerful. Some people felt sometimes frightened of them, when they met
inside the dim forests.
But one day the  inhabitants woke up with darkness all around. It seemed that the cloud bank was so thick that the
sunbeams found it hard to reach the pretty little town. People wanted to go out all the same. Children were running to
and fro amongst the houses of the sweet little town, when their eyes met the ones of a wolf. They revealed to be so
terrified that they didn't move at all, and the animal went away. But from thenceforth, people refused to leave their
houses. Some said that the darkness all around was due to the wolf, probably the wolf had devoured the elf who was
assigned to light  up the sky every morning.
The old wise man of the lovely little town called the fairy who protected them all. The fairy agreed to help, but she
needed some human beings to speak with the wolf. She asked her protégées, the two sisters, to play this part.

So the two sisters and the fairy strode the streets of the frightened little town till they unearthed what they were seeking
: the wolf. The wolf seemed to be perfectly quiet and gentle, and the little girls wondered why they ought to be terrorized.
Maybe the fairy had whispered in their ears some appropriate words ...
The elder sister began to converse with the wolf. The animal was first very surprised, but he accepted to answer. He
explained that he lost his way and didn't know any more how he could reach his forest again. As for the elf who was
meant to bring brightness over the little town, he told that he didn't devour it, but the tiny elf had been so afraid while
seeing him that it  fled briskly away and disappeared.

The fairy whispered in the ears of the two sisters what the wolf had to do to hit his sweet wood again, and the two
sisters led him there. Then, with the fairy, they quested after the poor little elf  who came back over the pretty little town.
But  from thenceforward, the two sisters and the wolf began to meet up regularly in the woods, so this new friendship
would never die.
