in fact, the stony forest of Buthiers is related to the well-known forest of Fontainebleau, to the South of Paris ; the huge
or smaller lumps of sandstone and too the real sand that covers some places are characteristic of both the forest of
Fontainebleau and the (smaller) forest of Buthiers ; some consider that the forest of Buthiers still belongs to the forest
of Fontainebleau, some other think that Buthiers is no more inside the forest of Fontainebleau, by the way some
"normal land" separates the two forests. Because of these huge stones, the stony forest of Buthiers - like the forest of
Fontainebleau - is a real enchantment for all those who enjoy stones, included climbers, and of course for dogs too,
although they must be kept on a lead in most places of the stony forest.
